Working closely with NimaFilm in Sweden, we have produced several different types of documentaries. Seen mainly on Swedish television the subjects included AIDS, drug abuse, personal stories and other newsworthy events. We are here to listen and than plan future productions from beginning to end.

Naked and wind 2002
 

A documentary film on exposed human beings, outcasts of a society where persecution and repression always are present i the background. Their only place of refuge is a cemetary in the middle of a big city in southern Iran, but not even there can they fell secure. In Iran a woman can be stoned to death if she sleeps with someone else than her husband. Sara in the film is well aware of that but still prostitutes herself in order to support her own and her husband's abuse of heroin. Her husband, Hassan, plans to quit his abuse of heroin by selling one of his kidneys. With the money he is going to pay off his father's debts and set up a business of his own. In spite of a miserable life some individuals still have hope and belief in the future. A question that one aks oneself having seen the film is whether there is any rescue for these people at the bottom of society.

"Masoud"

63 young people died and over 200 were severely injured at a Halloween party in Sweden in 1998. The children were between the ages 12 and 21.

This film is about Masoud Owji, 17 years old. Since the accident he has become a national symbol not only of the infamous fire but also a reminder of the strength of the human character.

Hope is the last thing that leaves a human being.

Masoud lost his left eye and his both hands but he did not loose his hope.
He has made his choice, he will not give up. " I am more grateful for having survived, instead of feeling that, shit why did this happen to me?"

The sharp pencil

The sharp pencil is a documentary about Hassib Al-Jasem, an Iraqi artist and caricaturist living in Sweden.
He arrived as a refugee in the end of the eighties, without speaking the language and without knowing anything about Swedish politics.

Since then he has become a very appreciated and successful political caricaturist working at several different newspapers. How has he managed it?
"-Politics is the same, no matter where you are, and caricature is a universal language.
You just have to understand humanity."

"- When the small man gets in trouble, he screams: Ouch! That's what I try to draw, this "Ouch".

The rolling life

To be a taxi driver is not the easiest way to earn money. Who are these
people? Why do they have thisdangerous job? What are their working conditions like?

This documentary tries to find answers to these questions and give us a better understanding of these people who few of us know that much about.

"Leverage"

 

"Leverage" is like a poem - when the poet writes a poem he is in a certain frame of mind. He writes about his feelings, and others read the words and identify with them. Leverage is like such a poem.
What is important? Life or death? Is the longing for life greater than the longing for death?

The viscious circle

This film shows a different picture of Afghanistan, and focuses especially on the situation of women and children. Aysha, that works as a teacher tells openly about the lack of respect for women in the country.
Foreign powers send lifethreatening plastic mines at the same time as they deal out prostheses. The country is being transformed to a prison and the afghans are forced into a viscious circle.
